Perfume Project Pan Update #6
Last month's update here. 6 months of perfume tracking! Normal numbers first, then more thoughts after.
New Perfumes
I am weak, and bought Sol de Janeiro's new ~ Destination Drop ~ collection. So + three 90ml bottles of perfume mist. I don't regret it, I love summer scents, but it is antithetical to the project pan name. This exists in a strange in-between of impulse and researched purchase. This particular set was not planned. I've been on the hunt for a replacement warm summer scent for Coco Cabana, particularly a "sunscreeny" vibe. And it also included a fresh green scent, which I've been wanting. And a safe pink sweet fruity scent, which I always love. I was perfectly targeted lmao. And then I got a free sample of a scent I already own and am meh on, as a prize for spending over $50. 😬.

Monthly Summary
0 bottles down.
4 new bottles.
30 uses total over the last month.
Most progress: Hello Kitty.
Most worn: Hello Kitty & Cherry Blossom tied (6).
This Month's Favorite: Cheeky Biquini 💗.
I completely skipped 2 days this month. I paired Winnie the Pooh and Cheeky Biquini together once out of curiosity. I didn't expect magic but it didn't do anything. It smelled like Cheeky Biquini until it faded and then Winnie was leftover, since honey is a base note of both.
Charts and Numbers
I've been intentionally trying to use my perfume since October 2025. I've been tracking the weight (mass, yes) of the bottles since November 2025, and the actual # of times worn per month since December of 2025. I've been drawing lines on bottles off and on since September or October 2025.
Personally I think the most interesting data is the number of times worn/month. The lines are probably the most interesting to others, but monthly updates spread among my ~11 or so bottles means next to no visible difference most of the time (especially this rollerball omg). Admittedly, photographing every bottle every month was also annoying. I don't find the weight that interesting month-to-month. Number go down when amount go down, wow.
Here's my pie chart of perfume usage since December 2025. I'm going to delete the first month's data so it turns into a 2026 pie chart (this will also include removing sun-ripened raspberry because I've given up on trying to wear it since.) Basically this is to show that Curious and Tease were loved and are missed LOL.
(Night Iris is currently 17, I changed the font color after this whoops) I guess the second 6 month update will be in a couple months from now.
As of end of April 2026:
- Cherry Blossom is my most worn scent, on 25 different days.
- In order; Hello Kitty, Night Iris, Cleopatra, Cherry Blossom + Hello Kitty tied; were my most worn scents each month.
- Hello Kitty was number 1 on two separate months (Jan and Apr.)
Parfumo has a little button on the upper corner of your collections, called the "Profiler" which gives you some stats on said collection. Of my 12 owned & used fragrances:
- My two most common notes are Amber and Vanilla, with 6 perfumes each.
- My top "category" is 19 instances of floral notes across 11 of my perfumes.
- The Classification tab says my collection is 28% Sweet; 22% Gourmand; 16% Creamy; 15% Floral; 9% Fruity; 9% Fresh. (This adds up to 99?)
- My scents are 92% feminine, with 8% unisex (its Winnie the Pooh)
- 39% of my scents are considered Summery by the userbase. Then 30% Spring; 19% Fall; 12% Winter.
Extended Thoughts on Specific Scents
I had a WIP Fragrance page on my neocities but I deleted it out of shame because I wasn't getting around to it, and it was supremely ugly. Here's some thoughts in the meantime, because who knows when I'll try again.
Cheeky Biquini: this smells just like a bottle of Seagrams Escapes. I'm not sure what's giving it the bubbly/alcoholic kick, maybe the acai? It doesn't smell alcoholic on my skin, but it definitely did lingering in the room I sprayed it in. *Alcoholic as in an intentional champagne note, not like a perfume starting to go off. I was expecting this to be just good-fine, but it's my favorite of the bunch.
Cherry Blossom: Unexpected VIP this year so far. I guess because it's so simple? It's about 1/3 gone already.
Limonada Gelada: Like I said before, I was on the hunt for a very sunscreeny perfume. My research led me to Cheirosa 87, (AKA Rio Radiance) also by SDJ. I saw the Destination Drop set on the front page, made the mistake of reading about all three, and my fate was sealed. For Limonada in particular after both being interested in the notes, and a couple people saying it smells like sunscreen. On my skin, this is not sun screen; though I can get it a bit straight from the bottle. I agree with most people it's pretty dessert-y. On me, it basically just gradually shifts from citrus with brown sugar, to brown sugar. The brown sugar is very there and very apparent the whole time, it's very warm. I like this, personally, but it's probably not for everybody.
Night Iris: I adore this because it has pepper as a note which is shockingly uncommon. My collection is overrun with sweet scents and this resinous scent is such a pleasant change of pace. This perfume is discontinued as it's brand, KKW Beauty, is dead. Even if it wasn't, I'm pretty okay with not supporting her LOL. I got this bottle gifted to me used, otherwise I probably would have gone my whole life without knowing about it. I'll have to hunt for a peppery/resin scent some day in the future, but for now I'm content.
Refresco Paraiso: This is the first of the three destination drop scents that caught my eye. I love a fresh scent and have been wanting to get into "green" ones. This is definitely both. I was expecting a bit more water, almost herby, but it's actually really sweet. For me, the cactus is VERY apparent and combined with the other fruity notes its almost too sweet. If you've eaten prickly pear jelly, and/or have had guava flavored aloe water, it's very comparable to those. I like this scent, but am the most disappointed by it. I first sprayed it the hour it arrived, and it was cloying. I previously did not believe in letting shipped fragrances "settle" but since that day, it's been way better.
Cheirosa 62: This tiny bottle mocks me. I'm so tempted. Maybe my old bottle went off. The formula's definitely changed since then, right? I offered it to my friends, but nobody responded. 😐. I will focus on my old bottle of ye olde Brazilian Crush in the meantime to convince myself not to try it.
Vanilla Musk: This still just sits with the rest of my perfumes, never to be used except for that one time that almost killed me. This may be doomed to sit in a drawer forever because the emotions behind it are stopping me from tossing it.
Rose Charmosa Dewy Cream: 🚨Not a fragrance spray🚨 I got it as another free sample for wasting my money. THIS SMELLS SO FAMILIAR!!! It's 90% rose, and then the pink pepper, is what I get from it. I was curious about it because said pink pepper, so I'm glad very specifically that I got a very small sample size. It smells like something from my grandmother's house and it's driving me insane. Some ancient long-gone beauty product, maybe a body powder. This is a very grandmotherly scent, super powdery, super floral, kind of irritates your nose. I don't get any of the dry notes, except maybe some sandalwood? It's an awful scent, but I kind of like it, but I will also definitely never buy it for real. Like all SDJ creams, it's way too strong. As a cream its fine, but I get a very comparable skin-feel from Pond's Crema S, which is like 1/4th the price.
Actual Project Panning
Here's all of my current fragrances. They all (minus Sun-Ripened Raspberry, since it got demoted to room spray) still fit inside of this brass tray I own, and that's what I consider my maximum. As soon as they don't fit in there, that's too much.
I'd like to use up Lucky Number 6 this year. It hasn't gone bad but I can tell it's getting old. I like the scent but it can be a touch strong so I hesitate reaching for it sometimes. Then I'd also like to use up Brazilian Crush, it's taking a while even using it mostly as a room spray. I periodically wear it to try to give it more chances but it's just salty/sad on my skin, I won't really miss it much whenever it is gone. And then I will have definitely given away the new sample bottle of Cheirosa 62 and will not try to convince myself to like what is probably the exact same formulation 😊. I think I'm going to give myself another month or two to make good progress on using Sun-Ripened Raspberry (as a room spray), and then if not, just get rid of it.
📢 Breaking News: While doing last minute edits I layered Brazilian Crush and Limonada Gelada. I haven't sat with it long term, but I'm into it. The combination makes the latter more complex, and the former sweeter; my two biggest complaints about each.
Next Month & Beyond
Personally I think the giant list I do looks kind of dumb but it works in terms of giving updates. Maybe I'll work out a more compact way in the future. This "project pan" exists in a strange state of me being totally aware that nobody gives a damn but the data is pertinent to me so I care. So, next month will be the new special amazing 2026 only data. I will probably use my three new fragrances a lot, though I would like to focus on Lucky Number 6 while its still spring.
