Perfume Project Pan Update #4
Last month's update here. I've decided from now on, I'll just not mention a fragrance if I don't use it at all that month; I've already said my piece on all of them several times over by now lol.
In Progress
Brazilian Crush
Current Weight: 135g (-11g)

Thoughts: I did not do a denial spray this month, I'll probably try again in warm weather.
Cherry Blossom
Current Weight: 60g (-6g)

Thoughts: I like the sprayer. I guess it's the cedar, but this feels like a much younger and easier to wear version of Vanilla Musk.
Lucky Number 6

Thoughts: This is totally getting old (see below). I do not dislike it but I'll be fine when it's gone lol. Just about Halfway!
Night Iris

Thoughts: Main focus of this month. I'm liking it a lot. Fun fact: on my graph it's actually my most worn scent currently at 18 times. This is not a recent picture, it just felt easily skipped over w/o one.
Sun-Ripened Raspberry

Thoughts: Now lives in Pear Fantasy's place to be used as a room spray. It's gonna be there for a while. Way less irritation when it's not directly on my person!

Thoughts: I can't say I'm surprised, but about halfway through what was remaining from last month, it took a super rancid turn. I'm going to guess that over 20 years, the ingredients started to separate and whatever was being leftover was absolutely nasty (shaking did not help, either.) I don't think it "went off" since it's been in the same environment for about 10 years. Since it was a body spray, I could pour out the rest and then weigh the empty bottle, at least. I'm a little sad that I didn't get to actually USE it up, but I couldn't handle it anymore lol sorry.

28 uses total over the last month. I completely skipped 3 days this month. I didn't double up or switch fragrances on any day. Thus, the total is much lower than last time.
Next Month & Beyond
Up next, I'm thinking of focusing on Cleopatra. I don't think I can finish anything this time, but it'll be fun to see how much and what I use still. On month 6 (so one after next update) I'll give a more thorough rundown/retrospective on how this project pan has gone overall. I have numbers and charts π! Also I don't think I'm going to take photos next month. I think I'll save it for maybe milestone spots, but now it's just an annoying extra task for barely any noticeable difference. For things like Brazilian Crush that have pretty consistent use, it can be interesting to see monthly, but otherwise it doesn't seem worth it.
Oops
I may have messed up some or all of my remaining fragrances. I've had them on my vanity in a little brass tray for the past few months. For the cold snap that started in January, I pulled out my space heater and put it right next to my vanity. (there's breathing space, it's not touching, but you know what I mean. Also it's one of the oil radiator style ones, not one with a directly open heating element. Have some faith in me :') ) For some reason my brain did not register that being on top of the piece of furniture directly next to the space heater, is in fact still directly next to the space heater. I realized this because Hello Kitty was the closest, and it started to condensate inside the bottle. As well as, I feel like Lucky #6 smelling a bit more alcohol-y on initial spray than before. (But it's also a ~20 year old fragrance, so who can say.) π¬. Oopsie. I guess we will see in coming months. I've rearranged since so hopefully it'll be fine.
Hope everybody has been having a good Stardew Valley-shaped month. I'm still feeling whack because both Americaβ’ and personal stuff, but I'll be fine. I will be fine. ππ’. Do what you can to make others' lives better.
